The Suspension is Micro's newest 2-wheel scooter, and its tallest. Ideal for adults riding urban sidewalks, the innovative patented suspension system absorbs the bumps. The front and back suspension work together to isolate the rider from shocks and vibrations; you float over the sidewalks. Robust construction makes the Micro Suspension is suitable for heavier riders, yet is still light enough to be carried. Fold and put under your desk for the ride home.   The adjustable handlebar accommodates small and tall adults.

This is one smooth operator - say goodbye to shake and rattle - and roll in comfort.

my 8yo son is a big kid - 53" / 112 lbs. He's active and strong & currently has a 3 wheel micro kick but is ready for a 2 wheel. Would you recommend the suspension? or a different 2 wheel for his age? his coordination skills are average for an 8 yo :-)

BEST ANSWER: We would not recommend the Suspension (at all) for your 8-year-old-- it is far too big and heavy for someone so young. We would suggest either the Micro Sprite (ages 8+, very lightweight and easy to maneuver) or the Micro Rocket (ages 8+, wider wheels and a bit more substantive). Please do not purchase the Suspension for someone that is just 8 years old; the scooter would not be usable for 5 years or so
Is there a wheel brake on the back? Can you push down on the mud flap to stop?
Eric N on Jun 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This scooter features a rear fender brake (black wheel cover in back). The riders uses his/her foot to engage the brake onto the rear wheel-- this is very easy to do and becomes "second nature" in no time
How to brake?
Allan L on Jun 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There is a rear fender brake-- you engage the brake using one of your feet. This is very easy to do and becomes second nature with minimal practice. Cheers!
What is the difference between this and the suspension scooter? Our son has the suspension and loves it. My daughter wants one, but doesn't want the same color. She's 15, and would like a comfortable scooter to use to ride to and from school.

Micro White
Micro White
BEST ANSWER: The Suspension is our biggest, heaviest 2-wheeler; it is our only scooter for riders up to 6'5" and/or 250 pounds. The Micro White, conversely, is a bit smaller (riders up to 6'3" and/or 220 pounds) and is about 35% lighter.

Without knowing your daughter's height/weight, I would normally suggest the Micro White for her (rather than the Suspension). I suspect that the Suspension would simply be "too much scooter," if that makes sense. If you would like to further discuss, please give us a call-- we have a toll-free telephone number, 888-236-5657, and are open Mon-Fri from 9am to 5pm Eastern Standard Time (EST). Cheers!
How wide is the handlebar? Tnx
