The all new Deluxe Maxi Kickboard offers exciting new features for children ages 5-12. Enjoy 8 new colors, an anodized stem, and a new deck material to provide better grip when scooting. Kids love the ride, and you will love the years of fun and exercise it gives, making it one of the best value presents you can buy your child. The smooth gliding Deluxe Maxi has a curving and carving action that allows kids to surf the sidewalk like a skateboard, with the handlebar providing greater control and maneuverability. Kids use their body weight and handlebar to lean into a turn, resulting in smooth, safe turns.

The Deluxe Maxi has the smoothest, quietest ride available thanks to high quality polyurethane wheels and a flexible fiberglass reinforced deck, which together absorb bumps in the sidewalk. Safety certified by the CPSC, the Deluxe Maxi is recommended for kids up to 150 lbs. Its exceptionally strong construction is flexible and light weight, making it a great cruising scooter for urban and suburban neighborhoods alike.

SAFETY - For best protection, we recommend that kids wear helmets and knee pads when riding.

Fast & Smooth!
My son’s first impressions of the new Maxi Deluxe were just complete excitement when the box arrived. He chose the “gold” one, which is the new yellow with matching handle bar (something specific to the Deluxe). Apparently the “gold” is what makes this scooter the fastest one he’s ever had. But I’m fairly sure all the other Deluxe colors are equally as fast and smooth. But you try telling a 5.5 year old that. We have a MicroKickboard Mini and a regular Maxi, so our first impressions were that it wasn’t much different than our other Maxi except for the pretty handle bar. Upon closer inspection, we noticed that the foot bed is rubberized, great for foot placement. Our first ride out was right after some rain and he drove it through puddles, with feet planted. The second thing I noticed were reflectors on the back, I certainly appreciate that as we tend to walk around the block at the end of the day. And I’m not sure the foot bed is wider, but visually, it appears so - could be the color. However it does seem to be a stronger board with less give than the regular Maxi. Now, that isn’t so obvious with my 50 lb son, but was when my husband put his own foot on it to check out the differences, which tells me my son can ride this scooter for a number of years as he grows.
Now, I really didn’t think it was possible to make a smoother gliding scooter than what MicroKickboard already makes, but this one does seem to glide even better and my son says he is able to go even faster, easier.
I would also like to say that our experience with customer service on our scooters has been terrific, too. The last scooter I ordered, I forgot a promo code and emailed mentioning that. They took care of me AND made sure my scooter arrived in time for my son’s birthday (because I may have procrastinated). I might be this company’s biggest fan. I’m not exaggerating about that! I love great quality products and MicroKickboard has time and time again impressed me with how long their products last even after taking the beating a toddler can inflict! And just how a great quality product makes learning a skill easier because of the smooth they glide.

My boys LOVE it!
My 6 and 8 year old boys really love this new deluxe model! They've spent years with their originals and, according to my 8 year old, these are "more maneuverable, the base is more sturdy and the brake is really good." I love the MicroKickboard products because I know my kids will be safe, have a blast, and the products hold up really well over time. They take a beating in our 4-boy-household!

My girl absolutely love her new scooter
Without question there is no product out there like this. I love the functionality and my daughter is in love with the style. We got her the purple one, its definitely worth the extra bucks, it's the cutest one of all for her (favorite color). We gather on Saturdays at the park with moms to walk and most of her friends have Micro scooters, all of the other moms ask about them because the other kids really dig the way they move to the sides, the two wheels in the front makes it secure so she never gets frustrated by going to the sides or falling. Will totally recommend it.

We recently received this scooter and it has quickly become a favorite activity of my almost-5-year-old daughter. The quality is fantastic, and the set-up was simple. Very impressed, and I highly recommend it!

Family favorite
I have four kids ranging from 5 to 11 years old and a fleet of Micro scooters. The new Maxi Deluxe continues to impress. My kids like the color choices including the good looks of the anodized stem. My oldest child noted how much sturdier the deck seems on this model than her previous Maxi. (I believe the weight limit increased from previous models.) It really is impressively smooth and sturdy. We have always loved the way these ride and the fact that you can get many seasons of use even with growing kids!

birthday gift for 5 year old son
Bought the maxi pink for my 3 yo daughter thinking she might be able to enjoy it a little later, but she got the hang of it right away. This says it's for 5yo+ but she's really enjoying it. Her brother really likes it, too, and they fought over the pink one. So, instead of a bike for his 5th bday, we got him the blue maxi deluxe. So far he loves it!

Great Quality Scooter
We have owned Micro scooters since my daughter was able to walk. From mini to maxi to full adult scooters. Every morning and every evening she asks for a family scooter ride. We thought upgrading from mini to Maxi when she turned 4 was a big deal, but switching to the Deluxe model was actually just as drastic. It is more maneuverable, easier to turn especially for younger kids who are still learning that part, sturdier than the Maxi and of course it looks awesome! I can tell that the Deluxe will last us longer than all other scooters. Great addition to the line up!

My tall 4yr old loves the maxi deluxe!
My tall 4 yr old (he's 43 inches) loves his Deluxe Maxi!!! He has the micro mini also which he loves too but now his 21 month old (he's 35 inches tall) little brother has taken it over. They both love taking them to the park and everybody comments on how nice of scooters they are...even adults stop us saying they need one of them. The quality is amazing and definitely worth the extra $10 to upgrade to the deluxe model!! We plan on purchasing a Deluxe Mini for my 21 month old for his 2nd birthday because we love them that much!!

I ordered this scooter in green for my son's birthday. He absolutely loves it. It rides smoothly and he likes the grips on the board. It arrived in less than a week.

5 year old LOVES it!
My son got the Maxi Deluxe for his 5th birthday to replace his Micro Mini which he had for 2 years. He loves his new scooter, and took off zooming right away. We love the sturdy construction, larger, rubberized foot base and beefy brake. I think he'll enjoy his new scooter for years to come.

Micro Kickboard Store
Scooter riding is a terrific activity for balance, coordination and fitness. This particular model is perfect for children who can't manage a two wheeled scooter. It is light, strong and has a wonderful dynamic steering system that encourages children to shift their weight to the sides (challenge their balance). I am a pediatric physical therapist and I like this model for lower functioning kids also. I tow them along as they stand and hold the handle.

Our grandson had a scooter from Micro Kickboard when he was 2-years old and loved it then. The key is that the 2 wheels are on the front, not on the back, like other scooters. He's now ready for this size.

I purchased the mini kickboard scooter for my 3 and 5 year old granddaughters. They spent many fun hours riding them. We graduated to the micro deluxe just recently for my oldest. Her sister will be next. These scooters will be passed on to their younger sis and brother who will most likely enjoy them just as much. I saw these in London, fell in love with them and will continue to buy for my grandchildren. Great fun when they come to Nonni's house!

This is the best Child kick board 3-wheels. Good quality, and very resistant. These are the second kick board from my sons, they used the first ones over 4 years and now we moved to another country we decided to buy them again.

Our granddaughter had the mini deluxe and absolutely loved it. She has used this scooter for three years and only the wheels are worn. The scooter is still in great condition. Now, one of her friend's younger sibling is enjoying the scooter.

Because the mini deluxe was so great, we didn't shop around and just bought the maxi deluxe. We look forward to her using this scooter for several years.

what's the big difference between the old maxi - ours is going on 3 years (she will be 6) so wondering if this would be an upgrade or should we wait?
Kristi R on Mar 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The "difference" in the weight limit between the Original + Deluxe is for advertising / product-positioning purposes only. As mentioned previously, these scooters are comprised of the exact-same materials and truly feature only cosmetic differences. We are marketing the Original line as having a 110-pound weight limit and the Deluxe line as having a 150-pound weight limit, though, as aforementioned, there are no material differences

does the maxi deluxe model come with t handle or joystick, or both?
dan m on Mar 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It arrives with the T-bar handlebar only. That said, you can always purchase the Joystick handlebar separately =)
The new deluxe model lists the max weight at 150lbs, while the older maxi said 110lbs. What is different in the deck of the deluxe that allows for the heavier weight?
Toni C on Mar 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Over the years, Micro has made many improvements to the scooter's design/materials. A nice benefit of this is that the Deluxe model, upon being tested, was cleared for a max rider weight of 150 pounds (instead of 110). These improvements can be found in the chassis, deck, etc.
Does the Maxi Deluxe come in orange?
W V on Jul 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It does not (come in orange). The black colorway features orange graphics on the deck and handle, though it is primarily black
My daughter is 12 and weighs about 110 standing just shy of 5'. I don't expect her to get much taller and I'm wondering if the Maxi Deluxe would be the best choice for her?
KathyH on Nov 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The Maxi Deluxe should be just fine for your kiddo. The weight limit is 150 pounds and the "max rider height" is about 5'3" or 5'4". We see lots of moms share Maxis with their kiddos =)

Difference between joystick and handle bars? And which one needs more skill? (In other words - I want to buy both but which one should my 6 year old start with?)
And does the joystick come in the different colors to match?
Kimberly P on Oct 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The T-bar is more of a "traditional" handlebar and what we recommend using when starting out. The joystick allows for more accentuation when leaning to steer and is for more-advanced riders. The joystick is offered in several colorways here:
