We purchased a Scootersaurus Micro Helmet for our grandson, who is 2 years old. He loves it, and he makes sure to wear his helmet whenever he is riding his scooter. Size small fits him perfectly; and we are very pleased with the quality and durability of the helmet.

Perfect fit for my grandson.

Great for a toddler!
This helmet is fantastic. My 2 year old daughter got the Micro scooter as a gift and I was having a hard time finding a cute helmet to fit. The small is perfect with some room to grow! There's a dial to make adjustments on how tight it is. She loves it and wears it around the house even when she isn't riding her scooter!

DONG L on Aug 13, 2017
Safety must always come first and I heard the quality of the helmets is very good. Giving the kick scooter without the helmet is like giving an electronic toy without batteries. You know the child will want to immediately start riding - you have to develop good safety practices early on.

My son saw it while we were looking at scooters and fell in love! If there is one thing I will indulge my kiddo in, it is a cool looking helmet to protect his noggin. If kids love their helmets, they are more willing to wear them!

If my son measures 19.75 should I buy the medium?
Danielle N on May 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Nope-- you guys would need a size small. Medium would be too big and would not protect his noggin
What size you would recommend for a 4-year old?
Aline S on Jun 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi Aline! Rather than try to "guess" what helmet size your kiddo needs, we *strongly* advise measuring your kiddo's head prior to ordering. Measuring in advance not only helps prevent an unwanted exchange, it also helps ensure that the helmet does its job and keeps your kiddo's noggin safe. To measure, you will go all the around one's head just above the eyebrow (ie where the helmet will be contacting the cranium). Following are the sizing guidelines for our helmets:

Small: 18" - 20 ½"
Youth Medium: 20 ½" - 22 ½"
Youth Large: 22 ½" - 23 ¼"

My daughter has a balance bike and will have a micro scooter. I wanted a helmet for both. Can this be used with a balance bike. Does it need to be duel certified?
Regan T on Nov 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi Regan, this product can definitely be used with the G-bike. All scooter and bike helmets designed for kiddos must meet the same safety requirements. Cheers!
How heavy is the small helmet? Is 2 pounds right? Seems heavy - other helmets say they are 280 grams which is about 1/2 pound.
Evan S on May 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The helmet itself weighs just under 15 ounces (ie half a pound). It has a *shipping* weight of 2 pounds which includes the weight of the display packaging and such
My daughter's head measures 20 3/8" today. Is the medium still too big given that it's just 1/8" shy of the guidelines?
Victoria H on May 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the medium would be too big. Please go with size small! If a helmet is even an 1/8th of an inch too big, it will not do a proper job of protecting your little one's noggin =)
I purchased a helmet with no tags so how can I tell what size it is?
Lori A on Oct 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: There should be a small white sticker with the sizing information on the inner shell of the helmet; size small is 18 inches-20.5 inches and size medium is 20.5 inches - 22.5 inches
So after measuring do you order the size that matches the measurement or should you size up given you can tighten it?
SHIREEN B on Apr 2, 2016

Warehouse Deals Micro Helmet Floral Dot - Small
BEST ANSWER: You will want to make sure your kiddo's measurement falls within the sizing guidelines (ie Small = 18-20.5 inches). Trying to "size up" may result in the helmet not protecting the kiddo's noggin-- please make sure your kiddo falls within the posted sizing guidelines before ordering. Cheers!
Hi! My kids have a balance bike and scooters... Which helmet do you suggest me that I can use it for both? (18 month and 3 years old)
What are the main differences Between the micro helmet and the nutcase helmet?
Mamita on Mar 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi Galia, our helmets are tested for use with both scooters *and* bikes. Thus, any of our helmets can work for you. The main difference between Micro-brand and Nutcase-brand helmets is that Micro-brand helmets are produced by our company (Micro, also produces our scooters) whereas Nutcase-brand helmets are made by another company (Nutcase). Either way, you are looking at a quality helmet that is suitable for both scooters and bikes =)
Can the helmet be tighten from the back ? Does the helmet have the mechanism to tighten?
nancy v on Feb 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can tighten the helmets using the adjustable spin dial (in back)
Size chart? Where?
Karen P on Aug 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The size chart is right here on the product page. That said, here are the size ranges for you:

Size Small: 18 inches - 20.5 inches

Size Medium: 20.5 inches - 22.5 inches

Are these DOT approved?
Taler A on Mar 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Micro-brand helmets are compliant with ASTM standards for Bicycle Helmets as required by the U.S. CPSC. These are safe for bicycles, scooters, and skateboards but are not safe to use when riding motorized vehicles
what is the difference between the micro helmet and the nutcase helmet?
brklyn1970 on Feb 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They are made by different manufacturers, have different sizing ranges, and feature completely different designs/colors. They are very much two different options in terms of helmets. For more info, visit our helmet FAQ here:

Size small = 18.5 inches up to 20.5 inches

Size medium = 20.5 inches up to 22.5 inches
is the metallic silver reflective?
Susan W on Aug 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It is not reflective in the same manner as a "reflective strip" that you would affix to a bicycle. However, the helmet definitely stands out and is somewhat bright. Cheers!

Andrea on Jul 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Though this can be found on the product page, here are the sizing dimensions:

Medium = 20.5 inches up to 22.5 inches

Youth Large: 22 inches up to - 23.25 inches

What size helmet should I buy for a 9 year old girl?
Chris M on Mar 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi Chris, we do not have a generic "age range" for the helmet sizing-- instead, we *strongly* advise measuring your kiddo's noggin for a safe, snug fit. To measure, you will go all the way around your kiddo's head-- just above the eyebrows (aka where the helmet rests on the cranium)
Helmet size - none of them come in Youth Large? Why is that? Out of stock?
Christina H on Mar 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi Christina, we hope to eventually carry Micro-brand helmets in size "large." They are not yet offered by our manufacturer (as of March 2016), though we do carry some large sizes of Nutcase Helmets. Here is a link:
What is the weight of the small? My 9 month old boy will get a SpheroVelo, and I want a helmet for him, but need something lightweight, for his young age, and neck strength.
Jason T on Dec 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Both sizes of helmets (small and medium) weigh 2 pounds-- very lightweight. Cheers!
What is the size? Is it for 2.5-3 years old? Is small the smallest? Need size info.
Catherine B on Aug 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi there! Rather than trying to "estimate" or guess which size is best for your kiddo, we strongly advise measuring your kiddo's noggin to ensure a safe, snug fit. Though this can be found at the bottom of the product page, here are the sizing guidelines:

Small: 18" - 20 ½"
Youth Medium: 20 ½" - 22 ½"
Youth Large: 22 ½" - 23 ¼"
