The Micro Mini Kickboard is the highest rated scooter for children aged 3-5. Your child will love "surfing the sidewalk" on their Micro Mini, and you will love the years of fun and exercise it provides. The Mini is one of the best value present you will buy your child. The smooth gliding Micro Mini's 3 wheels, low-to-the-ground deck and safe steering all contribute to stability that makes the Mini perfect for pre-schoolers and kindergartners. What makes the Mini unique and fun is the lean-to-steer design; children steer by using their body weight to lean right and left, intuitively learning to lean into a turn, while developing balance and coordination used in many sports. The Micro Mini has the smoothest, quietest ride available thanks to high quality wheels and a flexible fiberglass reinforced deck, which together absorb bumps in the sidewalk. Safety certified by the CPSC, the Micro Mini is recommended for children up to 50lbs.

SAFETY - For best protection, we strongly recommend that children wear helmets and knee pads when riding. Non marking wheels allow children to learn to scoot in the safety of your home.

Most Ergonomic
Your scooters compared to standard scooters are like snowboarding is to skiing. The scooter becomes one with the child and my two year old was amazing. She had no problem keeping up with her 5-year old brother. We have purchased three other scooters since then. First one Maxi Micro then 2 Sprites. Love them all.

Son Loves His Scooter
We got my son a Mini Micro when he turned 3 years old. He loved it then, and he easily picked up how to ride it. He rides it all over the place and at age 5 still loves his scooter. He's small for his age, but might soon be ready for a Maxi Micro.

The best scooter!!!
My son was 3-years old when I ordered the Mini Micro. I read a few negative reviews on a popular name brand scooter that I was planning to order and one reviewer recommended the Micro Kickboard scooter over that brand. I have never been sorry I went with the Mini Micro! It is perfect! Great size, low to the ground, smooth ride. My son loved it so much that we got him the Maxi Micro for Christmas! It is so worth the price!

judith s on Aug 10, 2015
I bought this scooter for my first granddaughter 4 years ago and it is now being used for the second granddaughter. It is the best scooter for little children. They lean right or left and the scooter goes in that direction. It is sturdy, lightweight and although more expensive worth the extra money. It is easy for little children to balance with the two wheels in the front.

My daughter is tall for a 2 year old. Can she ride the mini? Does she need the O bar or do you think the regular bar is fine?
A shopper on Jul 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Most *tall* 2-year-olds are able to use the scooter with the standard T-bar (handlebar). It is mainly shorter kiddos (aged 2) that benefit from the shorter O-bar handle
Is this scooter very different than the Mini? We want to purchase one for our daughter's 3 year old birthday. Thank you.
A shopper on Jul 12, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi there, we normally would recommend the Micro Mini (ages 2-5) for a 3-year-old. The larger Maxi (ages 5-12) weighs a bit more than the Mini and can be more-difficult to steer for riders under the age of 5. Please let us know if you have further questions-- we have a toll-free telephone number, 888-236-5657, and are open Mon-Fri from 9am to 5pm Eastern Standard Time (EST).
I need replacement part of fender ,not sure I need break as well?
Ashok M on Jul 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The rear fender and "brake" are the same thing :)
what is the learn to steer mechanism?
A shopper on Jun 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi there, there is "steering hardware" located on the scooter's underside that allows the kiddo to simply lean his/her body weight left and right to curve and carve. This is what we affectionately refer to as "surfing the sidewalk" here at Micro :)
What is the difference between mini and maxi?
A shopper on Jun 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: To choose between the Mini and Maxi, we recommend that you consider the size of the child in addition to their age. The Maxi is designed for children ages 5-12, up to 110 lbs, but may be suitable for a younger child depending on their weight and coordination. The minimum weight requirement for the Maxi is 35 lbs. This in mind, the Mini's lighter weight makes it easier to maneuver and helps build confidence for younger riders.

The Maxi weighs 2 lbs more than the Mini and its deck is 1 inch wider and almost 2 inches longer; this makes the Maxi a little more challenging to control, maneuver, and pick-up when compared to the Mini. The Mini's steering bar is fixed at a height of 24 inches above the deck; the Maxi's steering bar is adjustable from 24 inches up to 36 inches, allowing it to 'grow' with the child.

Please bear in mind that all parts are replaceable on Micro products; thus, when a child outgrows a Mini/Maxi, it can be refreshed as needed to be passed on to a younger sibling or friend. By changing the handle bar grips, deck color, wheels, etc., the scooter can be made "like new." Cheers!
How to dismantle?
A shopper on Jul 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: There is a red tab at the bottom of the handlebar, press-in this red tab and pull the bar away to quickly separate the handle and scooter base. This makes storing and transporting the scooter much easier!
Brake broke, where can I get a replacement?
A shopper on Jun 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi there, you can purchase one right here:

It is $6.99 with free shipping (via USPS). Cheers!
I see it's recommneded 3-5, is that based on weight or height? what are height weight limits before you would got bigger scooter.
Chris M on Aug 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi Chris, it is based on both (generic guidelines for height *and* weight). The max weight for this scooter is 44 pounds, the max rider height is generally about 43 inches. We recommend kiddos weigh at least 35 pounds prior to bumping up to the next scooter, known as the Maxi :)
can the O-bar be used with the micro mini?
A shopper on Jul 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes it can! The O-bar handle is shorter than the standard T-bar and allows even younger kiddos to get in on the scooting action :)
What is the weight of the mini?
s C on Jul 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The scooter itself weighs 4.25 pounds. It has a weight limit of 44 pounds. Cheers!
Shipping charge for scooter?
A shopper on Jun 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: We offer $10 shipping per order for all orders shipping via UPS Ground; this covers orders shipping within the continental 48 states. We ship scooters, helmets, and larger parts/accessories via UPS (Ground). As the $10 shipping fee is *per order*, it costs just as much to ship (4) scooters as it does (1). FAQ link:
I am having trouble unscrewing the front wheels -- They are really tight. I have tried WD40, but it didn't work. Any tips to get the front wheels off, so that they can be changed for new ones? Thanks.

Thank you for contacting us! In response to your inquiry, I like to use a pair of oven mitts (or towels) for use in-between the Allen Keys and my palms-- without the oven mitts/towels, I am personally not able to generate enough "torque" to turn the Allen Key. The mitt/towel not only serves as a buffer to protect your palm, it also helps offer some additional grip. Please let us know if you have further questions-- we have a toll-free telephone number, 888-236-5657, and are open Mon-Fri from 9am to 5pm Eastern Standard Time (EST).
What is the maximum weight for the Mini?
A shopper on Jun 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Technically speaking (in terms of what the display box reads), the weight limit is 44 pounds. However, we have had the scooter independently tested and have been approved to advertise the weight limit as being 50 pounds. Cheers!
Is there a minimum height?
A shopper on May 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: While we do not have an "official" minimum height, we have found that most children ages 2.5-and-up can use the scooter. The distance of the handlebar from the deck is 24 inches. Children can use the scooter easily for several years, reaching up when smaller and down when bigger
