This standard brake works for all Micro Maxi models and includes a bolt and screws.

To install:

  1. Use a 1/8 Allen key to remove the two silver screws near the front wheels.
  2. Then use a Philips head screwdriver to remove the screws holding the pink or red plate in place.
  3. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the six black screws on the underside of the scooter, and remove the black or purple deck from the base.
  4. Remove the two silver screws holding the brake in place, then remove the bolts and old brake.
  5. Put the new brake in place and reassemble scooter in opposite order (steps 4 through 1).

The break was a breeze to install, as well as the pin. Easy instruction, good quality product. Thanks!

Replacement part
This scooter is relatively expensive, but very well engineered, and I really appreciate that almost all of its parts are available separately. This means that a great toy does not become trash when a single part breaks, unlike so many cheaply made products on the market.

Easy peasy
Easy to install. The old screws were stuck but Ace Hardware helped me and then it was easy. The new brake works like a charm

We have these kickboards for my three children and they are GREAT...and sometimes parts wear out, so I'll happily buy OEM parts to make it 100% again.

there are two rivets holding the break together. the bottom rivet is missing. I bolted the parts temporarily, but figure it's only a matter of time before the top rivet gives lasted 4 years of punishing life

The sheet metal on the brake broke / sheared, at the sharp angle. Having a working brake on the scooter is a good thing.
